Itinerary

DAY 1: Inverness to Isle of Skye

Start the day with some monster spotting at Loch Ness. Take an optional cruise to the ruins of the historically significant Urquhart Castle, or enjoy free time in the village of Drumnadrochit before meeting up with the rest of the group to continue our journey west.

The road to Skye is a scenic drive like no other, through the dramatic Glen Shiel, past waterfalls and sea lochs and on to the romantic Eilean Donan Castle. After crossing the iconic Skye Bridge, we journey into Skye’s ancient Cuillin Mountains to visit the vibrant, translucent Fairy Pools. Skye is a land of history and mystery, and your guide will keep you thoroughly entertained with tales of clan feuds, faeries and giants.

Spend the night in Skye’s capital, Portree, where the evening is yours to visit the colourful harbour, and sample local whisky and seafood.

DAY 2: Isle of Skye to Inverness

After a hearty highland breakfast, we leave Portree and head to the North of the Island to visit the Quiraing, to enjoy the infamous panorama of the spectacular Skye landscape. Other highlights include Kilt Rock, Lealt Falls, and The Old Man of Storr. After another day of exploring, we leave Skye and head back to Inverness, taking the scenic route. We arrive back in Inverness early evening after an excellent couple of days exploring the Highlands and Islands.
