Sustainable Travel Experiences in Scotland

We understand that travel is an incredible gift. It has the ability to open our eyes, our hearts, and our minds to the unique cultures and spellbinding beauty of the natural world.

As “Green Tourism” Gold award winners we have been recognised for the efforts we are making to ensure that the environment and communities we visit remain for generations to come. As of January 1st 2022, Highland Explorer Tours will be carbon neutral, and we’ve developed a five-point Climate Action Plan to guide us - committing to carbon reductions and evolving to support the transition to a low-carbon future.

Coming Soon – 6-Day Make Travel Matter Adventure

Immerse yourself in the magic of the Isle of Skye and spend a transformative time on the Sleat Peninsula – our Make Travel Matter Adventure is the perfect balance of travelling to do some good, a great way to help off-set your carbon footprint and make a positive difference to the natural environment. We have partnered with the Sleat Community Trust to help transform Tormore Forest by assisting with tree planting, path building and repair, and aiming to make a positive difference whilst having fun!
It’s not all hard toil; after volunteering each morning we will spend the afternoons exploring castles, distilleries, faerie pools and even learn some Scottish Gaelic. Our guide will be with you to keep you entertained with myths, legends, and tales from our rich history.

Coming October 2022

We're still working on this trip to create a unique itinerary that gives you an unforgettable and impactful experience of Scotland.
