Itinerary

We depart Edinburgh at 08.30 in search of the Outlaw King. Our adventure begins with a roam around Linlithgow Palace; birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots and home to Scotland’s monarchy in the 15th and 16th century. Nowadays, the romantic ruin has been used as a filming location for Outlander and Outlaw King.

Prepare for battle at Bannockburn, the site famous for Robert the Bruce’s epic triumph against the English army in 1314. Even you will leave feeling patriotic, as you learn about Bruce’s bravery, battle tactics and success in gaining independence for Scotland.

We can’t get enough of historic heroes, so we charge up a hill to the Wallace Monument to share tales of William Wallace’s victory against the King Edward’s army in 1297, and his gory execution in 1305.

Finally, we pay tribute to our Outlaw King, Robert the Bruce, at this final resting place at Dunfermline Abbey.
